Lime Spring Farm (1720 House), Lawn Renovation

Historic Lime Spring Farm offers a spectacular setting for special events. Nestled on a 120 acre farm just south off Marietta Pike where it crosses US Rt30 in Lancaster.

The lawn looked pretty shabby when we began lawn care on April 23, 2009.

Lawn renovation and dethatchMarilyn Berger called me on Tax Day, 2009 and asked if I could come take a look at her grass at the wedding farm. During our walk around lawn evaluation I quickly realized the need to get the lawn looking tops for all the weddings and events hosted at the farm which would begin at the end of May. I wasn’t sure how the lawn would respond to treatment and really couldn’t promise a full turn around that quickly.

The first assault on the lawn was full aeration, overseeding, starter fertilizer mixed with lime, and strait lime as recommended by the soil test. Three weeks later I came back with weed killer, and high quality fertilizer blend of organic nitrogen, micro-nutrients, and some iron to turn the grass rich green.

Just in time for the first wedding, the lawn looked fantastic! I was very happy with it. And so was Marilyn.
